What are the three groups of equity-only companies in the EIC Accelerator dataset?

EIC Accelerator and EIC Fund Investment Statistics: Grant Distribution, Equity Commitments, Funding Gaps, and Leverage by Sector

Group A (nine companies): originally announced as blended finance by the EIC but had their EC grant stripped in the final EISMEA data, in most cases because a prior SME Instrument grant made a second grant ineligible.

Group B (five companies): applied for equity only after having already received a prior Horizon Europe EIC Accelerator grant in the 2021 or 2022 cohort.

Group C (eight companies): applied for equity only after having received a prior H2020 SME Instrument Phase 2 grant, without a blended finance announcement.
